Ondokea Foundation was founded by Patrick and Esther Kakema Sullivan, a Tanzania native.
Esther Kakema came to America to be a nanny and study English. She is a certified EKG technician. Esther escaped an abusive relationship in her home country. Growing up in Tanzania, she saw her mother beaten often. She saw her sisters beaten by their spouses. Esther’s pregnant aunt was beaten to death by her husband. He was not punished.
Esther helps her sisters survive today and she supports a teenage niece in Catholic High School in Tanzania to save her from sexual violence.
Ondokea Foundation is the fulfillment of Esther’s cherished dream and life-long ambition. Please consider supporting this vital NGO work in Tanzania.
